PIANO LESSONS IN SEAVIEW AVE, NORTHCOTE
$250 / term (10 lessons)
Students will learn classical piano style, with the aim being to teach students to read music and correct techniques so they can access music on their own in the future.
Piano is both an intellectual and a physical activity. As with any sport / instrument / subject / etc, practice is essential in order to make progress. Beginner students are expected to commit to a 10-15 minute practice, 4-5 days per week, increasing to 30 minutes daily for those wishing to sit exams or progress past initial stage.
**NEW** JUNIOR GROUP KEYBOARD & MUSICIANSHIP
$100 / term (10 sessions)
Students will work in small groups (minimum 3, maximum 4) to play listening games, practice reading music activities, and learn early keyboard skills on roll-out desk-top keyboards.
This class is aimed at introducing children aged around 6-8 years to musicianship and keyboard skills within a group setting.
Regular practice (5 minutes 3-4 times a week) is still strongly encouraged at this level, as children will be learning a short keyboard piece each week.

About the teacher
Sarah holds an A.T.C.L. in solo piano, grade 7 viola and took academic music to 7th form / year 13. Although she defected to science at university, Sarah continued to play the piano for personal interest and teach beginner piano students.
